
Point Mugu Revetment Repair Project

On January 23, 2026, Larison Reyes Joint Venture (LRJV) was issued a Notice to Proceed for the Pt. Mugu Central Revetment Repair Project. LRJV, along with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District is delivering the Central Revetment Repair Project at Naval Air Station Point Mugu to strengthen critical shoreline protection along the Pacific coast. The work includes repairing and resetting of existing armor stone as well as the furnish and installation of approximately 35,000 tons of 6 – 8 ton armor stone to restore the revetment’s structural integrity and improve resilience to coastal erosion and storm impacts.
This project is essential to protecting mission-critical infrastructure at Naval Base Ventura County, supporting continued airfield operations, test and evaluation missions, and overall installation readiness. By reinforcing this coastal defense system, USACE is helping ensure long-term operational reliability and national security at one of the Navy’s most strategically important coastal installations.
