Berth 177 – 182 Marine Improvements Project

Project Scope

The project scope consists of the demolition of approximately 575 linear feet of fire-damaged timber wharf structure, removal of approximately 700 timber piles, removal of approximately 400 linear feet of concrete wharf, and removal of approximately 100 prestressed concrete piles at Berths 177 – 179. At Berths 180 -181 RLJV will perform repairs to the existing timber wharf which will include refurbishment of mooring bollards and cleats, replacement of portions of the front marginal beam, replacement of timber deck, and repair and replacement of timber piles. At Berth 182, RLJV will rehabilitate the exiting revetment which has eroded, by removing existing loose slope material and placing quarry run and riprap to repair the slope. The project also includes slope rehabilitation by placement of riprap and ready mix concrete bags around large diameter steel piling at Berth 168 (Shell Terminal).
